Join Riverside School in celebration of Dyslexia Awareness Month at this family-friendly event. The day will start at 8:00 a.m. with a 5K walk at Chesterfield Towne Center followed by a Book Fair & Dyslexia Awareness Festival at Barnes & Noble from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Celebrity readers, Dyslexia Simulations, Educational Activities for the whole family, as well information about early screening for children at-risk for having a learning difference will be featured. Proceeds from the event will support Riverside School's Early Identification Program.
Dyslexia is a language-based learning difference that affects 1 in 5 children in the United States. Early identification of this medical condition is the key to a child’s success and ability to reach his/her highest potential.
Bring the whole family to learn more about dyslexia and this “designer gene” that is shared by many famous people including Albert Einstein, Tom Cruise, Pablo Picaso, and the young reader's book hero Percy Jackson!'
